It has become known about the measures taken against the mobile operator MTS.

The FAS ruled that the company had earned funds illegally and ordered it to transfer them to the state budget.

The FAS Russia reports this on its official website .

The department recalled that MTS had previously been found to have violated the Law on the Protection of Competition.

The Antimonopoly Service was interested in the fact that in the spring of 2024, the company increased the subscription fee for its clients over the course of two months.

Services increased in price by a total of 8% and affected approximately 3 million MTS subscribers.

At the same time, the FAS established that this price increase was not justified in any way, as a result of which the interests of the mobile operator’s clients suffered.

The antimonopoly service ruled that the company is obligated to pay 3 billion in unjustifiably received income to the state, as well as reduce the cost of services for those subscribers who suffered from the decision of MTS management earlier.
