Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean spoke about the problem with gas transit to the republic.
He noted that the problem of gas transit does not exist and is far-fetched.
According to Recean, Gazprom should supply gas to the Republic of Moldova next year, RIA Novosti writes.
The Prime Minister noted that Moldova will look for alternative supply routes.
He stressed that the transit of Russian gas to the republic should continue, taking into account Gazprom’s obligations.
Rechan bases his conclusions on the contract between Gazprom and the republic, which is valid until October 2026.
The agreement on the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory expires at the end of 2024.
In this regard, Moldova plans to look for alternative supply routes. The authorities consider the transit problem to be far-fetched and point to Gazprom's supply obligations.
