Dmitry Medvedev called for not allowing couriers' salaries to rise to the level of engineers.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation spoke on this topic at a meeting on improving labor legislation.
The situation where a courier's salary is higher than an engineer's salary is an example of a distortion in the labor market, believes the chairman of United Russia.
Medvedev called for attention to be paid to this and the situation to be corrected, TASS reports.
He pointed out that the digital sphere is important, but the real sector of the economy should not be forgotten.
If there is an outflow of specialists from this sector, then this will result in “real problems” for the country, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council emphasized.
The salaries of engineers and other representatives of similar professions should be higher than those of couriers, believes the chairman of United Russia.
However, Medvedev did not indicate a priority way to resolve this issue: reducing couriers’ salaries or increasing engineers’ salaries.
Earlier, American senators called for a ban on Russia's trade in the important resource.
