The Russian Ministry of Economic Development has spoken out regarding the derailment of a passenger train in the Volgograd region.
According to the department, tour operators and other participants in the tourism market should not fine tourists for canceling their reservations due to this incident.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the disaster on the railway tracks caused a change in the conditions for the provision of other tourist services, as reported by TASS .
Accordingly, the department believes that tourism legal entities should show flexibility in the current circumstances.
Accident near Volgograd
The Mayor, in particular, informs: “We recommend not to apply fines to those persons who cancel their room reservations.”
Information about the train derailment was received by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Volgograd Region today, July 29.
It is emphasized that the train was moving in accordance with the Kazan-Adler route.
According to preliminary information, eight carriages were derailed.
The incident occurred four kilometers from the Kotelnikovo railway station.
