Italy's largest bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, will stop accepting payments in euros from Russian banks.

An exception was made for the company’s own subsidiary in Russia, Intesa, according to an article in the Izvestia publication.
The Italian bank informed its clients and counterparties of its decision in December.
Intesa representatives in Milan did not deny the information about such a decision.
The regulator's statement emphasizes that from January 15 next year the bank will change the terms of servicing the correspondent account of its Russian subsidiary.
The bank recommended taking new information into account when planning payments and the risks of refusal.
