Alcoholic beverages may become more expensive in Russia after the New Year holidays.
We are talking about beer: producers and distributors have already warned about an increase in selling prices.
This was reported by the publication Kommersant , which received messages addressed to retail chains from three brewing companies at once.
It is noted that the following companies are among those who are planning to raise prices on their products:
- AB InBev Efes;
- Medovarus;
- OOO Krinitsa-Trade (Belarusian beer producer).
The letters, which were also sent on behalf of the distributor Gosselaine Logistics, notify that these companies intend to increase prices on their products from January 1, 2025.
The reason for the price increase, as explained by producers, is that the cost of excise taxes on alcoholic beverages is rising, as well as the selling price.
It is noted that this information has already been taken into account by the Association of Retail Companies.
