Experts report a slowdown in annual inflation in October 2024.
According to the results of the second month of autumn, the indicator was 8.54%, TASS reports. In September, annual inflation was estimated at 8.63%.
In monthly terms, consumer goods prices in Russia increased by 0.75%.
Food products have increased in price by 1.23% on average, according to Rosstat data. The annual rate is 9.03%.
Non-food products increased in price by 0.68% compared to October or by 5.74% year-on-year.
Prices for services increased the least – 0.21%. But in annual terms the figure is 8.18%.
The Central Bank previously noted that the fight against inflation in Russia continues.
Representatives of the regulator do not rule out that the key rate will have to be raised again in December.
In October, it was increased from 19% to 21%. There is no exact data yet on how much it will grow in the future.
But the Central Bank previously noted that if there is a discussion of raising the “key”, the talk will be about increasing it by at least 1%.
