As the media found out, we are talking about refrigerators and air conditioners filled with R-410 freon.
This information was shared by the publication " Kommersant ". It is noted that both industrial and household appliances were subject to restrictions.
Freon is used to fill domestic and industrial air conditioners, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, domestic refrigerators, etc.
According to experts, up to 400 containers with equipment may accumulate on the border with Russia. And this, in turn, may result in a shortage of equipment on the market.
As specified in the publication, since November 12, the Federal Customs Service has begun to request licenses from the Ministry of Industry and Trade from those who supply household equipment filled with R-410 freon.
This measure by the department suspended the supply of equipment to Russia. Moreover, the blocking as a result affected not only the Russian Federation, but also other CIS countries.
However, until autumn 2024, the Federal Customs Service did not require suppliers to provide licenses.
