Employers in Russia have revised their attitude towards job seekers over 50 years old.

The reason was the personnel shortage that was felt in a number of areas.

A study on this topic was conducted by analysts from the SuperJob portal, writes RBC .

Russian employers have become more loyal to candidates over 50 years of age.

Thus, in Moscow, about 40% of companies hire retirees on a general basis, and another 27% for specific positions.

But in the capital, the shortage of personnel is not felt as clearly as in other regions.

There, up to 44% of employers have no problem hiring people over 50 years old, and 30% find separate positions for them.

Today, companies are pursuing two main strategies to avoid the impact of talent shortages.

Firms have begun to spend more to persuade employees to stay.

In addition, companies have lowered the age requirements for applicants. Now both young and more experienced workers are equally in demand.

Employers are doing this because recruiting personnel has become an extremely complex, lengthy and expensive process.
