According to Rosstat, food prices in Russia have risen by 10.14 percent over the past 12 months.
The price of eggs has increased the most compared to last July – by 37.3 percent.
Rosstat commented on how food prices changed over the past year, Interfax writes.
Cocoa, live and chilled fish increased in price over 12 months by 2.9 percent and 2.3 percent, respectively.
The price increase for peas and beans during the period was 1.8 percent.
The price of granulated sugar increased by 1.7 percent over the year, sunflower oil by 1.5 percent, olive oil by 1.4 percent, rye bread by 1.4 percent, wheat bread, gingerbread and ice cream by 1.2 percent.
Compared to last July, alcoholic beverages increased by 5.9 percent.
At the same time, squid, black tea, dry milk formulas for children and fruit and vegetable products became cheaper.
The day before, experts pointed to an acceleration of annual inflation to 9.13 percent.
Consumer prices in Russia increased by 1.14 percent in July.
