The lower house of parliament is working on amendments to the Russian Labor Code.

The State Duma supported in the first reading a bill according to which the employer will be obliged to compensate the employee for unused time off upon dismissal.

If the initiative is approved in the second and third readings, the corresponding law will come into force on March 1, 2025, the State Duma website reports.

The document that the deputies are working on will specify the period during which an employee can use time off and will provide for payment if the employee does not have time to use all of his time off upon dismissal.

The citizen will receive money for all time off that he did not use during the year.

But the employee will have such a right if a decision is made to dismiss him.

The deputies prepared this bill as part of the implementation of the decision of the Constitutional Court.

Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev assessed the situation in which Russian engineers and couriers receive equal salaries . The deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation believes that this should not happen in Russia.
