Of course, at work you need to think first of all about your job responsibilities, and not about personal relationships with colleagues or management.
But sometimes it is impossible to ignore the attitude of your boss towards you, because it clearly does not fit into generally accepted standards.
Ideally, it should be even and calm, restrained and neutral.
Unfortunately, not all people who occupy leadership positions are distinguished by prudence and good manners.
Among them there are many boors and rude people, for whom it is quite normal to humiliate a subordinate, call him names, swear, yell. The situation is no better when the boss has favorite and unloved employees.
But it’s not just a matter of morality, but also whether it’s possible to somehow get out of a situation when a person is unlucky enough to end up in the second category.
Nitpicking
They can be for a specific reason or without one, and the latter happens more often. The director can easily pick on the employee's appearance: wrong clothes, hairstyle, shoes, makeup, jewelry, handbag.
Often you hear the irritating phrase: "Make your face simpler!" This is a clear sign that the manager just wants to quarrel and provoke a scandal.
Lack of constructive dialogue
No matter what exactly the employee needs, they usually don’t even want to talk to him.
They throw him out of the office or reception area, demonstratively pointing to the door, waving him off, rushing him, not delving into the essence of the request.
As a result, he feels as if he showed up at his boss's house at an inopportune time and then demands a huge amount of money from him.
Denial of necessary
You practically have to beg for a vacation or sick leave, and you can forget about taking a couple of days off at your own expense.
At the same time, the rest are freely given a week, but the undesirable employee cannot be released even for one day. Everywhere he encounters refusal and rudeness.
The best option in this situation would be dismissal. No matter what the salary is (and it is rarely decent), the unwanted employee will be reminded every minute that he is a nobody here and has no name.
It is unlikely that in such conditions one can work hard, much less gain experience and qualifications. Rather, it will lead to the acquisition of nervous diseases that will have to be treated long and hard.
Earlier I talked about how to motivate your employees.
