Emotional burnout is one of the most serious problems of the 21st century.
After all, such a condition is a kind of “concentrate” of many factors that, taken separately, do not cause significant harm to a person’s physical health and psyche.
Among them, we can highlight: physical and emotional fatigue, fear of uncertainty, constant negativity from the outside (for example, negative clients), inexplicable demands from management and relatives, the inability to show one’s weakness, and so on.
Since it is virtually impossible to remove all of these reasons from the life of any person, the question arises: “How to prevent emotional burnout at work?” Let’s take a closer look at this issue.
Find time to relax
The habit of relaxing in the modern world is a very useful and important thing, without which you can quickly lose motivation and desire to do anything in your life.
Therefore, eliminate from your life the principle: "Rest only when absolutely necessary. Work must come first."
This attitude towards yourself will only make the problem worse. Find time in your busy schedule to rest. And it doesn’t have to be a nap or a walk.
This could be watching your favorite movie, reading interesting books (not professional literature!) or even cosmetic procedures. There are many options. The main thing is to convince yourself that rest is as important to you as work.
Find time for your hobbies
Everyone has different hobbies: some people like to embroider, some like to film videos on their way to work, and some like to climb mountains.
If you have no hobbies, then you should reconsider this point of view. Since when doing your hobby, a person is distracted from his problems, gets an additional charge of positive emotions, calms down and finds a lot of solutions to get out of a crisis situation.
If you are afraid to start, then break everything down into small steps or "operations". For example, you want to learn how to draw. Then start with anti-stress coloring books or special kits for creating paintings by numbers.
Do some sports
This is quite difficult given the modern workload at work and at home, but it is quite possible.
To do this, you just need to choose the sport that is most convenient and enjoyable for you.
For example, if you don’t like heavy physical exertion, then it’s better to give preference to meditative practices.
If you feel like you are “suffocating within four walls,” you can try running, Nordic walking, or simple walks in the fresh air.

For reference
Burnout syndrome is a concept introduced into psychology by the American psychiatrist Herbert Freudenberger in 1974, which manifests itself in increasing emotional exhaustion.
