Starting next year, the salary calculation system in the Russian Federation will change.
This was warned by the co-founder of the online accounting service “My Business” Anastasia Morgunova.
In an interview with Gazeta.Ru , the expert recalled that from January 1, 2025, the minimum wage will be linked to the median salary.
According to the new rules, the ratio of the minimum wage to the median salary must be at least 48%.
The minimum wage in the Russian Federation is expected to increase to 22,440 rubles (+3,198 rubles).
In addition, the minimum subsistence level will be raised in the country. At the federal level, it will be 17,733 rubles. For the working-age population, the figure will be 19,329 rubles.
The expert emphasized that the employer does not have the right to set a salary below this amount.
Also in 2025, a progressive tax scale for individuals will come into effect. The standard 13% will remain for those who earn no more than 2.4 million rubles per year.
For amounts above this figure, higher interest rates are provided. The maximum rate will be 22% (income from 50 million rubles per year).
