The pension of working pensioners may increase due to a payment of 2,000 rubles.
This was reported by Natalia Medvedeva, Head of the Department of Public and Private Law at the Far Eastern Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
She explained in a conversation with RIA Novosti that after the return of indexations twice a year, working pensioners will receive an increase in payments.
The expert explained that from January 1, 2025, the annual indexation of pensions for working pensioners will resume.
Payments will be made from February 1 and April 1 – based on the inflation rate for the past year and the growth in revenues of the Russian Social Fund budget, respectively.
According to Medvedeva, given the calculations, it can be assumed that the size of the increase for a working pensioner will be up to two thousand rubles.
She added that the indexation amount will be determined from the cost of the pension point, taking into account the coefficient.
The expert concluded that these changes will help eliminate discrimination between working and non-working pensioners.
