The situation with currency exchange in Istanbul has become known.

Old-style $20 and $50 bills are exchanged at a reduced rate.

This information was shared by a RIA Novosti correspondent who is in Turkey.

It is noted that such measures may be connected with news about the widespread distribution of counterfeit $100 bills.

At the same time, only $20 and $50 bills are accepted at a reduced rate; there are no such problems with $100 bills.
