In Europe, they admitted that the authorities’ actions had a negative impact on European farmers.

The refusal of Russian gas has led to the fact that fertilizers are now in short supply in the European Union.

As Spiegel reports, this has led to European agriculture becoming dependent on fertilizers produced in Russia.

In particular, as stated in the publication, Russian analogues are significantly cheaper than those fertilizers produced in the European Union.

Consequently, it is possible that the EU will no longer be able to do without Russian products. And this, in turn, means a decrease in food security.

It is noted that the increase in purchases of Russian fertilizers is observed not only by European countries.

According to statistics for 2023, the leaders in importing these products manufactured in Russia are India, Brazil and the USA.

Earlier it was reported that Russia sharply increased its income from the export of a key resource.
