The head of European diplomacy confirmed information about the EU's plans to introduce a new package of anti-Russian sanctions.
Josep Borrell announced this on Saturday, November 9, during a press conference in Kyiv.
The politician stated that the European Union has already begun preparing the 15th package of sanctions against Russia, RIA Novosti reports.
Borrell stressed that measures against circumvention of previously introduced restrictions will be tightened.
In addition, the head of European diplomacy noted that measures are being developed to isolate Russia’s industrial capabilities.
In particular, the European Union will attempt to deprive Russia of components that it receives from a number of countries.
At the same time, Borrell did not indicate when the work would be completed and when new anti-Russian measures would be agreed upon and introduced.
The politician made this statement against the backdrop of Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential race.
Political scientists believe that this American politician can reduce the sanctions pressure on Russia.
