Economist Mikhail Belyaev shared a method for profitably exchanging imperfect dollar bills.
Belyaev noted that dollar bills with defects are subject to exchange at a reduced rate.
In a conversation with Lenta.ru , the analyst emphasized: “It is important to remember that each bank itself determines which banknotes are considered defective and which are not.”
According to the expert, one or another credit institution may refuse to accept some banknotes.
It is important to remember
Belyaev explained: “For example, damp dollars or dollars with traces of mold may not be accepted by one bank or another.”
The analyst recommended that in such cases one should contact several credit institutions due to the lack of uniform standards for exchanging defective banknotes.
The expert also called for not ignoring the possibility of selling imperfect banknotes abroad, where damage may not be considered as such in principle.
Belyaev recalled that certain credit institutions have stopped purchasing defective banknotes from the population.
