Former Deputy Prime Minister and FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich stated that sanctions are not a benefit to the economy.
To consider them a blessing means to admit that a country cannot develop without external pressure.
He said: "Considering sanctions as a benefit only highlights one's own weakness, not the strength of sanctions." This is what RBC writes, citing Forbes.
Dvorkovich pointed out that sometimes sanctions can lead to unexpected positive results.
However, overall they remain harmful and hurt everyone in the global economy.
Dvorkovich also pointed out that under the influence of sanctions, companies may become more disciplined.
He explained that sanctions will never be good. They only show that before this, “we were not good enough.”
Dvorkovich warned that sanctions always have negative consequences.
They do not contribute to progress, create additional difficulties and do not benefit the development of the economy.
Dvorkovich called for striving for independent development without external pressure.
