Not only large but also small regional banks refused to accept payments from Russia in July.

It was through them that Russian businesses made payments, believing that they were not so dependent on Western sanctions.

The situation with payments to China has become significantly more complicated in recent weeks, Izvestia writes, citing sources.

According to Alexey Poroshin, CEO of JSC First Group, regional banks in China are increasingly refusing to accept payments from the Russian Federation.

Experts believe that the current situation is connected with Chinese banks' fears of increased secondary US sanctions.

Regional banks in China may have received a warning and drawn the appropriate conclusions that are not in favor of Russian business.

The commercial director of the company "Impaya Rus" Alexey Razumovsky emphasized that more than 98% of Chinese banks have suspended the acceptance of direct transfers from the Russian Federation.
