Bank of Russia analysts have identified the main reason for high inflation in the country.

They stated a position that may not coincide with the official point of view of the Central Bank's management.

Increased inflation in the Russian Federation is the result of too much money entering the economy, according to a study published on the Central Bank website .

So much money has poured in through credit and budget channels that the economy is simply unable to “digest” it all, analysts emphasized.

Such monetary decisions are the main stimulus for the growth of prices for everything. Production costs also increase, goods and services become more expensive.

Analysts have proposed options that will help stabilize the inflation situation.

First, it is necessary to reduce the rate of growth of lending. The regulator has already taken measures in this direction and the first results are noticeable.

Secondly, the return of the budget to the parameters of the budget rule, which is planned for 2025.

The Central Bank's management also uses the increase in the key rate as a tool to contain inflation.

On December 20, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia will hold its next meeting on the key rate.

Analysts have different opinions on this matter, but they all agree that the Central Bank will again increase the key rate, which currently stands at 21%.
