Journalists have learned details about the overseas property of detained senator Dmitry Savelyev.
A member of the Federation Council from the Tula region turned out to be the owner of a mansion in Great Britain.
This information was reported on Friday, August 2, by RIA Novosti, citing relevant documents.
The agency reports that Senator Savelyev, his wife and three children have been using a residential building in Britain since 2016.
The area of the property is 489 sq. m. It is not specified where exactly the house is located. It is also reported that in 2020, the Savelyev family still owned this mansion.

On August 2, it became known that the member of the Federation Council had lost his immunity following a corresponding request from the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov.
Colleagues stripped Savelyev of immunity, after which he was detained right in the Federation Council building. He is suspected of involvement in the preparation of the murder.
Before being elected to the Federation Council, the politician was a deputy of the State Duma (6th convocation) and was a member of the Committee on Natural Resources, Nature Management and Ecology.
