Central Bank analysts have talked about the tricks that commercial banks use to attract clients.
Experts have warned about the techniques used to promote credit products.
The Central Bank website reported that many organizations attract clients with the cost of a loan during the grace period.
This trick involves having promotional periods with minimum bets. When this period ends, the bets increase sharply.
At the same time, banks, when calculating the full cost of a credit card, indicate it taking into account preferential conditions.
In this case, the maximum possible amount of payments under the loan agreement is not reflected.
The Central Bank experts emphasized that this is a violation of the law “On consumer credit (loan)”, since the client is being misled.
In addition, the regulator has recorded a new trend among Russians. First, citizens take out a loan from a bank, and then apply for a loan from microfinance organizations.
Over the past year alone, the number of such borrowers has increased by more than 20%.
