According to the Central Bank of Russia, the average maximum rate on ruble deposits has increased to 18.71 percent.
Among the top ten largest banks in Russia, an increase in the average maximum interest rate on ruble deposits to 18.71 percent was recorded.
Information on the corresponding dynamics for the third ten-day period of September appeared on the Bank of Russia website.
According to the dynamics of the maximum interest rate, in September in the first ten-day period it was 17.63 percent, in the second – 17.99 percent.
Earlier, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation announced a second increase in the key rate this year to 19 percent per annum.
This decision was made by the regulator taking into account the forecast indicators of the financial market.
Financiers and economists believe that the rate increase will not be limited to this and could amount to more than 20 percent.
