Analysts also note that the Chinese national analogue of UnionPay has wide opportunities. You can pay with such a card in 154 countries, including the Russian Federation.
But tourists are advised not to rely solely on non-cash payments. In the context of sanctions, cash is a more reliable option in this context.
The conditions of foreign banks working with Russian cards are constantly changing. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better.
