The expert commented on trade between Turkey and Russia.
According to the analyst, Ankara is now facing a new problem in making payments between the two countries.
Turkish economic observer Mustafa Recep Ercin expressed this opinion in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
It is specified that during the BRICS summit the issue of transactions between the two countries was raised. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assured that Türkiye is working to eliminate this problem.
Currently, when making transactions through Emlak Katılım Bank, people face the problem of high fees, since trading is carried out in rubles and Turkish lira.
According to Ercin, the main problem is that the exchange rate difference is higher than on the market.
The solution to the problem is that both countries should establish a fixed exchange rate, and then the transactions will be profitable for both countries. Otherwise, problems with payment will arise on both the Turkish and Russian sides.
