Recipe for squash caviar
In fact, there is nothing complicated in the process of preparing store-bought squash caviar.
This snack contains only 4 ingredients, not counting spices.
You will need:
- 1 zucchini;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 onion;
- 80 grams of tomato paste.
Salt and black pepper are also added to the dish to taste. If you are going to sterilize the caviar, then you will also need vinegar.
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, chop the onion into cubes. Heat the oil, fry the vegetables until golden brown, then add the tomato paste.
Young zucchini can be cut into cubes together with the skin and seeds, mature vegetables need to be peeled and gutted. Add them to the pan with the vegetables, salt and pepper.
When the vegetables are ready, blend with a hand blender until smooth. Return the caviar to the heat, add vinegar and bring to a boil. After this, the snack can be packaged in jars.
