Why do this?
Place kefir in a bag or bottle in the freezer for at least a day.
But it is important to defrost it properly afterwards.
We take the mass out of the package and put it in a colander. It is better to put a couple of layers of gauze in it beforehand.
Then we leave the kefir overnight. As a result, whey should separate. But savvy housewives do not pour it out.
This whey can be used for making pancakes and baked goods.
Also after defrosting there will be tender creamy cottage cheese. You can add salt or spices to it and use it for sandwiches.
