Persimmon is a traditional autumn-winter fruit that appears in abundance on store shelves after the onset of cold weather.
What a disappointment it is when, after bringing it home, you discover that the persimmon is so sticky in your mouth that it becomes impossible to eat it.
Culinary expert of HERE NEWS, chef and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova will tell you how to do without freezing in such a case.
How to get rid of astringent taste
If you want to prevent persimmon from becoming sticky, you will only need honey and a few simple manipulations.
Wash the fruit thoroughly, dry it, and then remove the stem.
Pour a teaspoon of honey into the hole that is formed after this, then arrange the persimmons so that the sweet filling does not leak out.
After that, put the plate with persimmon in the microwave and turn on the oven for a few seconds. No more than 30 seconds is enough to completely get rid of the astringent taste.
