However, tea bag manufacturers believe that tea bags have gotten a bad name because of companies that sell bad tea.
This has led to many people now believing that all tea bags are bad.
In fact, the reality is that whole leaf tea looks better than broken tea. But that doesn't mean broken tea is worse in quality than loose leaf tea.
Tea producers use different sized sieves to sort tea by size, so larger leaf teas sell for a higher price.
The quality of tea depends on the climate, altitude and soil conditions in which it is grown and processed. But leaf size has never been a criterion for quality.
