The result will be a “chemical” soup: one habit that turns healthy dishes into poison

One popular habit turns a tasty and nutritious dish into a chemical-laden mess.

The microwave revolutionized the way we reheat food, but it also brought with it additional health risks.

One mistake concerns people who take food with them in plastic containers, in which they then heat up the food, writes the Mirror .

Plastic is not as harmless as it seems. When heated, bisphenol A, phthalates and other chemicals get into soup or other dishes. No one needs such a "seasoning".

Scientists have not yet fully determined what harm these chemicals cause. But some studies say that phthalates increase the risk of asthma and nervous system disorders.

Even storing hot food in plastic containers cannot be called safe.

It is permissible to transfer only cooled food, and it should be heated in another container, i.e. the container is used only for storage.

Experts say oils, vinegars, cheeses, tomato sauce and carbonated drinks are the ones that most effectively “draw” harmful substances out of plastic, which then end up in the body.
