And since there are areas in our country that are poor in iodine, everyone should consume this plant.

In addition to iodine, cabbage from the bottom of the sea also contains vitamins B, C, D, and a number of important minerals necessary for human life, said Yulia Arkhipova .

For example, an amazing compound is alginate. It is not digested in the human stomach, so it “travels” through the gastrointestinal tract and absorbs harmful bacteria, toxins, and radionuclides. This is how the body gets rid of waste.

There are many other useful properties of seaweed known. It removes cholesterol compounds, i.e. counteracts one of the most common modern diseases – atherosclerosis.

Laminaria also affects the quality of blood, increasing the amount of hemoglobin and red blood cells, increases the stability of the nervous system, and has a bactericidal effect.

Seaweed can be used for medicinal purposes; dried seaweed is sold in pharmacies.

There are many preparations based on seaweed. For example, micronized algae - dried and crushed algae of the species Laminaria and Fucus.

It's also a good idea to regularly buy kelp from the grocery store and make a delicious seaweed salad from it - it's both healthy and enjoyable.

But not everyone should use it. It is not recommended to eat seaweed in case of exacerbation of glomerulonephritis, active tuberculosis, allergies, and also for pregnant women.
