Those who go to the gym to get a slim figure and defined muscles often believe that it is better not to eat sweets at all during exercise.

After all, every piece of cake, pastry or serving of cocoa with marshmallows will have to be “worked off” on a treadmill or with dumbbells.

However, intense training causes the body to lose quite a lot of energy and, therefore, its resources must be replenished through carbohydrates.

And some types of sweets will help you do this quickly and with minimal consequences for your weight. What kind of sweets are these?

For example, pastila. Just not the kind that is sold everywhere, is white, pink or any other color, contains a lot of sugar and additives in the form of candied fruits.

There is also another type of pastila - brown, made from natural apple juice or fruit pulp.

Another name for it is fig, and having a small snack of this sweet after exercising or jogging will be useful, since figs contain sugar, fiber, and a small amount of vitamins. Having a snack in this way is a good and healthy decision.

Or marshmallows. They are quite sweet, but eating one or two with green tea is not harmful at all, since marshmallows also contain protein, which is necessary for muscles, as well as iron and phosphorus.

By enjoying marshmallows, you can satisfy your carbohydrate needs, maintain muscle health, and improve brain function. Just choose marshmallows with the most laconic composition and without adding chocolate glaze.

Speaking of chocolate, if you want to eat it after a workout in the gym, choose dark chocolate with at least 70 percent cocoa.

Eating about a quarter of a bar will already give you a lift in mood, and the antioxidants contained in this sweet product will help your heart and brain work more efficiently and lower your blood pressure.

Is it possible to eat such a sweet and high-calorie product as halva after training? Why not, especially since halva comes in different varieties.

For example, sesame halva contains a lot of calcium, which is good for bones, sunflower halva is rich in vitamin E, a valuable antioxidant, and pistachio halva (which is less common than others) is considered the least caloric and the richest in vegetable protein.

Eating a little halva of any of these varieties after exercising means quickly satisfying your hunger and giving your body valuable substances for recovery. The main thing here is not to get carried away.

Finally, a sweet snack after exercise won't hurt at all if the snack is cheese. No, not the usual "Russian" or parmesan, but its dessert varieties - ricotta, chocolate mascarpone.

The composition of such cheeses is natural, the calorie content is relatively low compared to other desserts, and the presence of calcium, proteins and fats in cheeses has long been beyond doubt.

A portion of pleasant and delicate mascarpone with chocolate flavor will give you strength and saturate your body, so that the feeling of fatigue and hunger after training will quickly disappear.

As you can see, sometimes eating sweets after training is quite useful. But do not forget that the carbohydrates obtained in this way will also have to be burned so that they do not transform into fat deposits.

Walking, lighter exercise (stretching exercises, for example), or cleaning the house can help with this.

And don't eat sweets right after finishing physical exercise: wait about half an hour. Then the possible harm from eating sweets will be minimized.
