Dietitian and nutritionist Ekaterina Matyskina gave a comment on who should not get carried away with grapes.

Grapes contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other beneficial substances.

However, it contains very little fiber and a lot of easily accessible sugars, Sputnik radio reports.

The structure of the berry is loose and soft, which makes the sugars easily digestible.

Matyskina warned that grapes have a high glycemic index. They can quickly raise blood sugar levels.

For diabetes and insulin resistance, grapes are recommended in very limited quantities.

Matyskina also said that grape juice is sugar. It is stripped of fiber, and the result is pure sugar.

According to the nutritionist, 100 g of grapes contain approximately 50 kilocalories.

On average, the daily calorie intake for a person is 1,600-2,000 kilocalories.

Of these, approximately 200 kilocalories can be attributed to simple carbohydrates. Therefore, the daily norm of grapes is about 400 grams.

Since raisins are more caloric than grapes, overweight people should be careful with them.
