To prepare porridge you will need a modest set of products:

  • pearl barley – 1 cup,
  • water – 3 glasses,
  • pumpkin – 400 gr.,
  • salt - a pinch,
  • raisins - 100 gr.,
  • refined oil – 1 teaspoon.

Method of preparation

So, let's begin:

1. Soak the washed cereal in water for several hours.

2. Peel the pumpkin and then cut the fruit into pieces.

3. Place the sliced pumpkin on a greased baking sheet. Place in the oven.

4. Once the pumpkin is soft, remove it from the oven and let it cool.

5. Pour three glasses of water over the pearl barley without excess liquid. Put it on the fire. Cook until boiling. Add salt and then continue cooking for another hour.

6. Add washed raisins to the porridge.

7. Add pumpkin 5-10 minutes before it is ready.
