At first glance, it may seem that there is nothing complicated in making jam.
However, there are nuances that make the delicacy truly delicious.
Culinary expert of HERE NEWS, cook and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova will tell you about important nuances in making jam.
How many minutes to cook jam
There are two ways to prepare the delicacy. The first is called "five-minute" and consists of combining the berries with sugar and leaving them for at least 12 hours so that they release juice.
After this, the berries and sugar are brought to a boil three times and boiled for 5 minutes. After each time, they must be completely cooled.
Classic jam is prepared differently. The cooking time depends on what berries or fruits you took for this:
- raspberry is cooked for 10-15 minutes after boiling;
- strawberry, currant, apricot and cherry - 15-20 minutes after boiling;
- plum - 20-25 minutes;
- apple and pear will need 25-30 minutes.
