Many people wonder which type of lard is best to eat.
And if you have fallen in love with brisket with streaky meat, we hasten to warn you: it’s time to give up the habit of buying such products.
Culinary expert of HERE NEWS, cook and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova will tell you about the dangers and harm of salted lard with meat veins.
Why you can't eat lard with streaks
Clean lard with the skin, especially if fresh, is an appetizer that simply melts in your mouth.
However, do not forget that pork is a meat that should never be eaten with blood, unlike beef. And there are reasons for this.
The fact is that raw pork contains dangerous parasites that are killed only when the semi-finished product is properly prepared. That is, pork must be well-cooked to be eaten.
As for pure lard, harmful parasites and bacteria do not survive inside it. Therefore, only pure lard is suitable for consumption in salted form, since it is guaranteed not to contain harmful "additives".
But it is better to buy pork with veins for baking in the oven.
