Salted pink salmon is an affordable holiday treat that you can make yourself.
What distinguishes pink salmon from salmon or trout? The fillet is thinner and the flesh is drier. After salting, it acquires a rich taste, and the texture is somewhere between salted and dried.
Expert of the online publication "TUT NOVOSTI", chef Yulia Arkhipova shared a recipe that will help you prepare incredibly delicious salted pink salmon in an hour and a half.
The result is a very tender fish, which, when combined with boiled potatoes, can provide true gastronomic pleasure.
Ingredients:
- Pink salmon (fresh frozen) – 2 pcs.;
- Water (boiled) – 1 l;
- Salt – 5 tbsp;
- Vegetable oil – 150 ml;
- Onion – 1 pc.
- It is better to use unrefined sunflower oil.
Preparation
The gutted pink salmon should be cut into pieces and placed in a plastic container or other deep container.
Dissolve salt in cold boiled water and pour the resulting brine over the fish. The pink salmon must be completely immersed in the liquid.
In this form, the fish should be left for 1 hour. There is no need to put it in the refrigerator. You can leave it at room temperature.
After an hour, drain the brine. It is not worth marinating it any longer, as the pink salmon may turn out too salty.
Place onion rings on top and pour in vegetable oil.
Now the fish needs to be put in the refrigerator and kept there for 30-40 minutes.
