When guests are already at the door, and you don’t have a ready-made dessert, you will probably think about making something quick.
But what exactly to cook, because you don’t want to keep your guests waiting for a long time.
The following recipe will become your faithful assistant in such moments, says Yulia Arkhipova .
This is a light and tender sponge roll with banana filling and vanilla butter cream. A significant advantage of this dessert is the cooking time, which will not take you more than 30 minutes.
And the products necessary for its preparation can be found in every good housewife’s refrigerator.
First, beat a chicken egg into a deep bowl and pour in 150 g of condensed milk, mix until smooth.
At the initial stage of preparation, there is no need to use a mixer. You can do with a fork or a whisk. Next, sift the flour with soda and vanilla sugar or vanillin. This will enrich the flour with oxygen, the future biscuit will be light and melt in your mouth. Pour the sifted flour in small portions into a bowl, mix with condensed milk and egg.
Once the dough has become homogeneous, prepare the baking tray. To do this, place a sheet of parchment paper measuring 25x35 cm on it and carefully place the dough on it. Evenly distribute it over the entire surface of the parchment paper.
We put our sponge cake for the roll in the oven for literally 10 minutes. You shouldn't keep it longer, otherwise the cake will crumble and you won't be able to roll it. The oven should be heated to 180 degrees.
While the roll is baking, place a small towel on the table and sprinkle it lightly with sugar. Now hurry up and quickly prepare the delicate vanilla cream.
To do this, mix the remaining condensed milk with butter in a shallow bowl and add vanilla sugar. Beat this mixture with a mixer until smooth, then put it in the refrigerator.
We will spend the remaining few minutes preparing the bananas. We cut one of them into three equal parts, and chop the other two into small pieces.
With a light movement, turn the baked roll over onto a towel, remove the parchment. Let it cool slightly for 5 minutes. Now coat it with cream and put the bananas in the center and wrap it. Grease the finished roll with the remaining cream and sprinkle it with almond petals.
