How to Make a Layered Pie with Fried Potatoes: This Dish Will Surprise Your Family and Guests

I would like to offer you a recipe for a simple but delicious pie that is ideal for a thick cold beetroot soup.

Ingredients dough: 400 gram pack of puff pastry.

Of course, you can make the dough yourself, but we prepare the pie using a simple recipe, says Yulia Arkhipova .

Ingredients
Fried potatoes - 250 grams (you can buy a pack of French fries (preferably fried));
kaymak (soft cream cheese) – 180 grams (one package);
green onions – 4 medium greens (I don’t like onions and therefore use green or shallots);
pepper – to taste;
salt – to taste;
mushrooms (any) – 300 grams;
1 egg – for coating the pie.

Let's make a pie

First, let's prepare the filling for our pie, that is, fry the potatoes and mushrooms with pepper and salt, as you like, put the filling aside and let it cool a little, and in the meantime, let's work on our dough.

Take two layers of dough, put one on top of the other (approximately 2 cm), roll it out into one layer, make a rectangle.
Take the filling and place it on the resulting rectangle.

Next, place kaymak or other soft cheese on top of the filling and on the sides.

We roll the pie into a large roll.

Grease the pie with beaten egg and place in the oven at 180 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.

Take out the pie and enjoy!
