Endocrinologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Zukhra Pavlova said that poor nutrition increases the risk of developing dementia.

According to scientists, baked goods, sweets and fried foods increase inflammatory processes in the body.

As a result, the processes of neurodegeneration are accelerated, which leads to various cognitive impairments, including dementia.

Pavlova said in a post published on Telegram that high-calorie sweets, baked goods, fast food and fried foods are saturated with fats and carbohydrates, which provoke inflammatory processes in the body.

Scientists, having studied the diet of 1.5 thousand people, came to the conclusion that the risk of developing dementia was higher in those who ate improperly.
