Čevapčići is one of the popular dishes of Serbia and other countries of the Balkan Peninsula.
It consists of small sausages made from two types of minced meat with the addition of spices.
A hearty dish that can be prepared quickly.
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef;
- 200 g minced pork;
- bulb;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- salt, pepper, paprika.
Method of preparation
1. First, chop the onion and garlic as finely as possible in a blender or other way.
2. Next, mix the two types of minced meat and add the onion-garlic mixture along with salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until smooth.
3. Then form small sausages. The diameter is about two to three centimeters.
4. After this, all that remains is to fry the sausages in a frying pan or on the grill until golden brown.
Čevapčići are served with chopped onions, kajmak (thick cream) and pita (unleavened flatbread).
