When renovating a child's room, parents often renovate their own childhood room, making their dreams come true.
As a rule, for girls these are pink castles, and for boys - blue ships.
This is how stereotypes are created and social models are laid down, says Yulia Tychino .
First of all, when renovating a child’s room, you need to remember that the renovation is being done for a specific person.
If a person is able to express his wishes, then they need to be listened to, within reasonable limits of course (otherwise you will have to re-glue the wallpaper after the release of a new cartoon).
Going to extremes and making the room completely monochrome or bright, saturated colors is also not worth it.
A children's room is a universal room - it is a bedroom, a playroom and even a sports corner. Therefore, a child should have the opportunity to get excited and relax in it equally. Therefore, it is still not worth making all the walls around a bright color. It is better to use neutral, muted colors.
Ideally, the room should be zoned and all with the help of the same wallpaper. So you can combine wallpaper in a single color scheme, but with different patterns (solid, striped or children's pattern).
It looks good when in a room with calm, monochromatic walls, one wall is covered with wallpaper with a pattern.
In this case, in a few years, when the child grows up and decides that he has outgrown this wallpaper, it will not be difficult to re-paper one wall and thus make the room more adult without significant expenditure of effort, time and money.
Let's take a closer look at color combinations.
The ideal solution would be a combination of cold and dark shades. It is better to give preference to pastel, diluted shades. Pale lemon, corn, brick, pear, cream, pumpkin are suitable for a children's interior. These shades will look bright in a children's room anyway, but at the same time they will not put pressure on the child's psyche.
Remember that, among other things, the character and psyche of the child must be taken into account when choosing specific colors, since even the most diluted orange or red contributes to the excitement of the child's psyche.
Even a monochromatic room will not look boring – it simply will not be allowed to, but this does not mean that it must be so. The combination of calm, but at the same time contrasting colors will not create tension, but will add zest to the interior.
The number of main colors in a child's interior should not be large. A couple of colors that will be supported by accessories (curtains, wall stickers, furniture, textiles) is enough and the interior will always be lively and interesting!
Previously it was reported how to use orange color in the interior with benefit.
