Studio apartments: how to zone space wisely

Studio apartments are becoming increasingly popular.

This could not help but influence current trends in interior design, so the maximally open arrangement of living space, as they say, is in trend.

However, one of the most significant problems in choosing an open plan is the complexity of zoning, says Yulia Tychino .

Despite the apparent lack of special options, specialists have come up with a lot of opportunities to give the space a laconic and zonal completeness without harming the very openness for which such layouts were conceived.

One of the main ways of zoning is with the help of furniture. It itself seems to hint at the belonging of a particular zone to a specific type of room: a bed to a bedroom, a table to a study. A wardrobe or a curtain can also serve as a partition.

Another option is plasterboard partitions. They are great for separating the sleeping area from any other, because the personal space is sort of cut off from everything else, the living room. They can be quite small, but effective.

Partitions are often made from other materials – wood, frosted glass, plastic – in all cases, you can find a creative approach.

For example, place decorative elements in the partition, make it decoratively unfinished, broken, etc. - decorate it to the taste of the apartment owners.
