Stretch ceilings, at first glance, are a common option for finishing ceilings.

If you cannot choose a ceiling for yourself or doubt the quality of the material, then a PVC ceiling is the best option for you.

Such ceilings come in different colors, textures, and design effects, says Yulia Tychino .

With proper care of the ceiling, its service life can last up to 25 years. And that's not all.

Stretch PVC ceilings are currently a common option for finishing ceilings. Despite this, they are durable and practical.

There are still some positive aspects, namely:

1. The material, in this case PVC, is absolutely environmentally friendly. This means that you can use it to decorate ceilings in a child's room and even in an allergy sufferer's apartment.
2. Stretch ceilings will save your budget well. No additional costs are required for purchasing equipment and installation.
3. Installation of stretch ceilings does not require any preparatory work, i.e. you can do without preliminary leveling of the surface. In this case, the result of the work will be perfectly smooth.
4. PVC stretch ceilings do not deform.
5. They are easy to care for: you just need to wipe them with a cloth.
6. Each material has its own color and texture. It is also possible to depict a picture or even a photograph on the surface.

Now about the downsides.

Remember that the canvas is fragile. It is not recommended to work with sharp objects. The seams can only be hidden if you arrange the drawings correctly (this is relevant only in large rooms).

The material from which the ceilings are made is not able to withstand low temperatures.

Therefore, it is not recommended to decorate the ceiling in cold, unheated rooms, as the canvas may begin to crack.

The main positive and negative qualities of PVC stretch ceilings were listed above.

Now all you have to do is decide whether to replace your old ceilings with this material or not.
