If you have a small balcony, it is better to choose light curtains to visually enlarge the space. If the loggia is large, you can experiment with color and design.
Functionality
If you plan to use the loggia as an additional room or office, then you should choose thick curtains that will protect from sunlight and create a cozy atmosphere.
Material
For the loggia, it is better to choose materials that are easy to wash and dry quickly. For example, cotton or polyester.
Design
Curtains should match the interior style of your apartment. If you have a modern design, then minimalist Roman blinds or Japanese panels will do. If you have a classic style, then you can choose traditional curtains or tulle.
Fastening
Curtains for a loggia can be attached to a cornice or to special hooks. The choice depends on which method seems more convenient and practical to you.
Care
Vacuum your curtains regularly to remove dust and dirt, using a soft brush attachment.
Wash them at least once a year. Before washing, check the instructions to find out the manufacturer's recommendations for water temperature and washing cycle.
Dry the curtains in a well-ventilated room or in the open air, but not in direct sunlight. Iron them at a low temperature, using a special ironing cloth.
If possible, hang the curtains back on the rod while they are still damp – this will help them to take the desired shape more easily.
To prevent curtains from getting dirty quickly, you can use special antistatic agents or dust sprays. If you have the opportunity, it is best to contact a dry cleaner.
