A cast-iron radiator can be turned into a real highlight of the interior if you repaint it in a fashionable shade. But do not rush to use flashy colors for this, otherwise it will turn from an accent into an eternal irritant.
If you have already decided to play with color, then think about what it will be combined with. The room should have at least one detail in the tone of the radiator.
You should not hide the radiator closely behind blind surfaces, such as furniture or a glass screen. In the first case, you disrupt the air circulation in the room, and in the second, you also endanger your children.
A decorative screen is also appropriate only if it matches the rest of the interior. And fabric drapery is rarely appropriate, since it is only suitable for Provence or shabby chic.
