There is no need to overload a small room with furniture. The room should contain only the most necessary items.

The less furniture, the more spacious the room. In addition, when choosing furniture, try to give preference to compact furniture with a minimum number of decorative elements.

You can visually enlarge the space using a mirror.

This can be either furniture with mirrors on the doors or a separate mirror from the floor to the ceiling. And if possible, it is best to install it opposite the window.

When choosing wallpaper for a small room, it is advisable to give preference to plain options with a discreet small pattern.

Pastel-colored wallpaper will look good in such rooms. Wallpaper can also be used to visually increase the width or height of a room.

For rooms with low ceilings, choose wallpaper with vertical patterns or stripes, and for narrow rooms - with horizontal ones.

The more light, the better. In order not to obstruct the penetration of natural light into the apartment, do not clutter the windows with tall plants. You should also take care of the lighting.

Even if you have a small room, one chandelier will clearly not be enough. Complement it with built-in ceiling lights or sconces.

If the room has a low ceiling, then it is worth using chandeliers with lampshades directed upwards.

Curtains made of heavy, dense fabrics are not the best option for small spaces. Replace them with light tulle or any other thin, airy fabric that will not weigh down the interior.

An abundance of decorative elements: vases, figurines, souvenirs brought from vacation and other trinkets do not decorate the interior, but on the contrary, give the room a sense of chaos and clutter it. To avoid this, leave a few things in a visible place and put the rest in the closet.

When choosing furniture for small spaces, it is advisable to give preference to transformable furniture. It will not only help save space, but also make the environment more cozy and comfortable.
