It is no secret that the kitchen interior is updated more often than the living room or bedroom.

This room is used much more intensively, and cleaning is carried out there more often, therefore special requirements are imposed on finishing materials.

If you are planning a renovation in your kitchen, you will have to choose between wallpaper or tiles, says Yulia Tychino .

Moisture and steam often appear in kitchen areas, as they are constantly kept clean and cooked. That is, when planning to buy fashionable wallpaper for the kitchen, you need to choose those that have water-repellent properties.

Imagine that the wallpaper has been stained with grease, water or even ketchup. The most difficult stain will be easily washed off if the surface it has been on is waterproof and smooth.

Since the kitchen is a very bright room, you cannot use cheap paper wallpaper there, because the sun's rays will quickly make them unusable. Light-resistant wallpaper should be selected for the kitchen.

An important parameter is also the vapor impermeability of the wallpaper, since the humidity in the kitchen is high and the ventilation is not very good.

Wallpapers made of fabric, bamboo, wood and other natural materials are well suited for the kitchen. They are beautiful, durable and strong.

Their only drawback is the high price. But the kitchen is usually small, so this option should not be dismissed immediately. You can buy inexpensive washable two-layer wallpaper, fortunately, there is a very large selection.

The latex coating provides them with high moisture resistance. This option can be considered optimal if you do not plan to wash the walls often.

You can update the shade or change the color at any time if you buy non-woven or vinyl wallpaper for painting, and such coverings can be painted more than once.
